Tiger Top Tube

A sterile blood collection tube with a swirled or variegated red and black or red and green rubber stopper that is coated with silicone, has a gel on the bottom, can be directly centrifuged to separate red and white cells, and, like yellow top tubes, is used to collect specimens for HIV, retroviruses—e.g., HTLV-I and others—acetone, alcohol, urea nitrogen and creatinine
