For even greater doorjamb security, consider installing a 6-in.-long heavy-duty
strike plate (about $10).
Does the customer have the screws he needs to install the
strike plate box?
Workers had to climb a ladder and bang a
strike plate on the side of the hoppers to loosen the ash buildup.
No wiring, other than that linking the
strike plate and the access tool (such as the keypads, card readers, or fingerprint-recognition devices) with the control panel, is required.
The arrow resides in this V on the arrow rest and against the
strike plate. The bow arm--the arm that holds the bow itself--is extended, of course, to put the bow out front so that it can be drawn, but the elbow should be slightly bent, not rigid.
Make sure you strengthen the lock's
strike plate, which is the most vulnerable piece.
The weakest point is almost always the
strike plate that holds the latch or lock bolt in place.
Shooting off the shelf requires a medium for the arrow to ride against, so shelf materials are necessary to create an arrow rest (horizontal contact point for the arrow) and
strike plate (vertical contact point for the arrow).

The simplest fix of the three is to bend the little tang on the
