Although all of the above responses should indeed merit further investigation, it is my argument here that the study of the history of Black practitioners and research concerns in reference to Blacks in the social sciences is absolutely essential if the aforesaid sciences are to truly fulfill their fundamental raison d'etre of creating a stable or rational social order.
