Skinner's line

Imaging A horizontal line, drawn on a plain film of a horizontal pelvis, between the top of the greater trochanter of the femur to the uppermost part of the obturator foramen; SL helps describe the axial relationship of a normal hip joint. Cf Shenton's line.
