Systemized Nomenclature of Medicine & Veterinary Health informatics A computerized electronic vocabulary system for medical databases, which may become the standard vocabulary for speech recognition systems and computer-based Pt records; it is the vocabulary of choice for reporting terminology. The Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine-Clinical Terminology (SNOMED CT[R]) has been endorsed as an international standard reference terminology to facilitate e-health initiatives.
