avenae populations based on
RFLPs and sequences of rDNA-ITS regions.
This product was subjected to further characterization through
RFLP analysis using restriction enzymes Alu I, Hae III, BstYI and XcmI (Fig.
In the soil accumulated for 8 days, 16
RFLP types were identified from 72 fungal clones, including Basidiomycota (5
RFLP types, 45 clones, 62.5%), Ascomycota (10
RFLP types, 26 clones, 36.1%), and Fungi incertae sedis (1
RFLP type, 1 clones, 1.4%) (Table 3, Figure 2).
It generated 5
RFLP banding patterns (A, B, C, D, and E) and 12 subtypes [A1, 2, 3/B/C1, 2, 3/D1, 2, 3/E1, 2].
Kremer, Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (
RFLP) Typing of Mycobacteria, National Institute of Public Health and the Environment, Bilthoven, The Netherlands, 2002.
The mixed infections in the total population were found to be 15.2% by
RFLP and only 2% by PCR analysis alone, hence, indicating higher sensitivity and easy detection of mixed genotype infections by
RFLP, as the
RFLP analysis detected more number of mixed infections in comparison with the PCR method.
tuberculosis isolates from Pakistan determined by
RFLP analysis
Because published reports on the use of restriction fragment length polymorphism (
RFLP) to characterize MRSA in dairy products in Iran are rare and little information is available in this regard, the present study was conducted as one of the first reports.
