A fictitious microbe which, according to Dr Virginia Wuerthe-Caspe Livingston (1906–1990), resides in all humans and, in a background of a compromised immune system and facilitated by consumption of non-living foods, can trigger cancer. The existence of Progenitor cryptocides was never scientifically confirmed.
