Out of 45 known cases, 23 (51.1%) children had
polyarthritis type of JIA out of which 8 (17.8%) cases were RAF positive and 15 (33.3%) cases were RAF negative.
The differential includes polyarthralgias such as viral
polyarthritis, systemic rheumatic diseases, and osteoarthritis.
A diagnosis of AOSD should be kept in mind in case of pyrexia of unknown origin particularly in a patient who presents with high-grade intermittent fever,
polyarthritis and skin rash of more than two weeks duration.

Children with ARF present with one or more of the following features: fever, carditis,
