Therapy consists of using a
Pavlik harness, traction, casting or a combination of these methods.
If not, then the baby is fitted with a
Pavlik harness. The baby may need to wear the harness 24 hours a day.
If the physician chooses to use a
Pavlik harness, it is placed after the work-up is complete with the aid of oral or intravenous pain medication.
