It is the second year running that the trust has achieved excellent in all categories for all of its hospitals in the agency's annual
Patient Environment Action Team (PEAT) assessments.
Just months before it closed it was named Warwickshire's top small hospital by the
Patient Environment Action Team.
Each inspection is carried out by a
Patient Environment Action Team which consists of local NHS staff, including nurses, matrons, doctors, catering and domestic service managers, executive and non-executive directors, dieticians and estates managers.
The
Patient Environment Action Team (Peat) carried out annual spot checks at Cannock Chase and Staffordshire General Hospitals.
Wards across South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust were inspected by its own
patient environment action team which includes the trust's head of estates and facilities, house keeping manager and infection prevention and control practitioner.
But Mr Johnson said: "Deep cleaning will be included in the
Patient Environment Action Team inspection programme from next year.
