The company said the long-term view of the
palladium market is for a metal deficit, driven by significant supply risks from declining South African production, combined with a growing global demand.
XRF assessment measured the electroless
palladium at 5.11 [micro]in and the electroless nickel at 180 [micro]in, with the FIB assessment measuring the electroless
palladium deposit at 2.6pin and the electroless nickel at 188 [micro]in (FIGURE 10) for the 3 [micro]in electroless
palladium sample.
Another method that has been considered is the addition of a flocculent to rinse wastewater after
palladium catalyst treatment to settle out slurry containing
palladium, and then dissolving the settled slurry containing
palladium with inorganic acid (hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, etc.), adsorbing
palladium to activated carbon by passing the solution through a column (separation tube) of capture material (activated carbon) holding a reducing agent.
Palladium plays a key role in the technology used for fuel cells, which combine hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity, heat, and water.
As a result supply has always been unpredictable and this has made
Palladium far more volatile than Gold which is mined in a number of different countries.
Zimbabwe, Russia and South Africa are responsible for 90 per cent of the world supply of
palladium, but production in the two African countries is dropping because of a lack of capital and political instability.
Under its initial assessed valuation for fiscal 2012, the annual property taxes on the
Palladium were $65,887.
Its
palladium ETC has taken in nearly 100,000 ounces of metal in the last seven months, in sharp contrast to the near-constant outflows of metal from the more established palladium-backed ETPs so far this year.
Palladium BSC Hall of Fame for Executing Strategy has inducted five high-performance organisations at the 2011
Palladium EMEA Summit in London.
Elaborating on the synthesis procedure, he said, "We mixed an aqueous solution of gelatin and a very dilute solution of
palladium chloride salt in water.
The PGMs include platinum, ruthenium, rhodium,
palladium, osmium and iridium.
