myelin-associated glycoprotein

A glycoprotein in myelin of central and peripheral nervous systems. Anti-MAG antibodies are detected in 50% of patients with IgM paraproteinemia and peripheral neuropathy, and may occur in some patients with multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, chronic polyneuropathy or myasthenia gravis.
