Mayo Clinic syndrome

A popular term for the treatment of a Pt as organ or organ system by a specialist, named after the Mayo Clinic, a 'center of excellence' dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of difficult diseases. See Center of Excellence. Cf Marcus Welby syndrome.
