Magic Factor

A popular term for any intangible factor that affects the performance of a particular test, making it difficult to obtain consistent results; certain immunoassays—e.g., tissue staining by immunoperoxidase methods—may yield inconsistent results in relatively inexperienced hands, due, some might say, to a ‘magic factor’

First, I'm one of many shooters who believe there's a certain ballistic "magic factor" in the 6.5 slug, and there's lots of evidence supporting that.
