LZTS2

A gene on chromosome 10q24 that encodes a multifunctional leucine zipper protein that downregulates:
(1) Katanin-mediated microtubule severing and release from the centrosome, as required for central spindle formation and completion of cytokinesis;
(2) Axonal outgrowth, by preventing formation of microtubule bundles necessary for transport within elongating axons;
(3) Wnt signalling pathway;
(4) Beta-catenin-mediated transcription, by promoting nuclear exclusion of beta-catenin.
