LATS protector an antibody found in hyperthyroid patients with the capacity to block the long-acting thyroid stimulator (LATS) from combining with thyroid microsomes.

LATS protector

An antibody in 90% of Pts with Graves' disease which, in vitro prevents inactivation of LATS; the LATS-P assay is a sensitive marker for Graves' disease, but is too cumbersome to use as a diagnostic tool. See Long-acting thyroid stimulator.
