Lord William Thomson, Scottish physicist, 1824-1907. kelvin (K) - a unit of thermodynamic temperature equal to 1/273.16 of the thermodynamic temperature of the triple point of water.
Kelvin scale - temperature scale in which the triple point of water is assigned the value of 273.16 K.
