New data is reported for the distribution of 18 species, of which two belong to the
infraorder Nepomorpha: Corixidae: Heterocorixa and Notonectidae: Martarega', 16 belong to Gerromorpha: of which 12 belong to the family Gerridae: Metrobates, Tachygerris, Limnogonus (two species), Brachymetra, Neogerris, Potamobates, Trepobates (three species), Telmatometra, Rheumatobates', three belong to the family Veliidae: Rhagovelia, Microvelia (two species), and one to Mesoveliidae: Mesovelia.
According to these authors, the Pleidae derive from the Nepomorpha as a new heteropteran
infraorder; the Plemorpha and the monophyletic
infraorder Nepomorpha consist of five superfamilies with the following relationships: (Corixoidea + ((Naucoroidea + Notonectoidea) (Ochteroidea + Nepoidea)).

Evolutionarily, both NWM and OWM sit within the simiiformes
infraorder of the suborder Haplorhini of primates [2].
The Gekkota are an
infraorder of reptiles, comprising all geckos and the limbless Pygopodidae.
Scorpions from the Visean of East Kirkton, West Lothian, Scotland, with a revision of the
infraorder Mesoscorpionina.
They cover the
infraorder Astacidea Latreille, 1802 p.p.: the marine clawed lobsters;

For pecoran (higher ruminant) species, 17 novel relationships were identified and another 16 previously proposed nodes within the
infraorder were confirmed (Decker et al., 2009).
CALL it monkey business if you must, but there's no getting away from the fact that the amusing
infraorder simiiformes - apes to you and me - have been the advertising man's playthings for generations.
