IRF4/MUM1
A protein of the interferon regulatory factor (IRF) family of transcription factors, which is encoded by IRF4 on chromosome 6p25-p23, induced by antigen receptor-mediated stimuli, and plays a crucial role in cell proliferation, differentiation and survival. IRF4/MUM1 expression can be used to divide follicular lymphoma into:
Low-grade CD10+/Bcl-6+/MUM1–/Ki-67low phenotype; and
