With up to 90 W of power available, compared to the 30 W provided by the
IEEE 802.at standard (PoE+),
IEEE 802.3bt can provide both power and connectivity to new applications that would otherwise require a dedicated and typically off-line power source.
There are different versions of
IEEE 802.11 standard.

The
IEEE 802.11ah MAC layer incorporates most of the main
IEEE 802.11 characteristics, adding some novel power management mechanisms.
In this section we derived the equation of one of the performance metrics of
IEEE 802.11 WLANs, i.e., the throughput.
In order to meet this need, studies have chosen to improve the
IEEE 802.11e MAC layer of WMM ad hoc networks, seen the ability of MAC protocols to contribute in improving both traffic performance and energy efficiency [9].
It is an

However, the 2.4 GHz frequency band is not exclusively used by
IEEE 802.15.4; many other technologies also operate in the band.
The research conducted in [2] concluded that despite its low transmit power and simple modulation technique,
IEEE 802.15.4 shows a robust behaviour against interference of other 2.4 GHz systems and even in the worst case conditions for frequency overlap, local distance and high traffic load for interference, some time slots remain for a successful transmission of
IEEE 802.15.4 traffic.
The
IEEE 802.15.4 [7], in particular, is a short-range, low-complexity, and low-power communication protocol for Low-rate Wireless Personal Area Networks (LR-WPANs).
