But Tony, or course, went on to become a household name, most famously through Hancock's Half Hour, broadcast on radio and television.
The cast includes impressionist James Hurn (BBC2's Dead Ringers, Hancock's Half Hour) and Janice Connolly (Phoenix Nights, Coronation Street, Mrs Barbara Nice).
