Google has sessions at I/O devoted to its social network and its
Google TV platform for streaming Internet content to home entertainment centers.

Google TV attempts to address the problem that there's not really a great experience to access the internet on your TV," said the firm's Suveer Kothari.
In 2010, Sony introduced the world's first HDTV and Blu-ray Disc Player powered by
Google TV. The new Network Media Player and Blu-ray Disc Player are scheduled to launch from early summer 2012, starting with North America and Europe and plan to expand into other countries and regions.

Google TV certainly brings 'smart' connectivity to the highest level," said Steve Haber, EVP, Sony Electronics.
Devices such as
Google TV Apple TV Roku, Slingbox and Boxee registered between 1% and 4%.
Earlier this year, they lowered the price of
Google TV's set-top box to attract consumers.
