Ginkgoales

an order of the GYMNOSPERMS that is now represented by only a single species Ginkgo biloba, the maidenhair tree. Its ancestors flourished during the MESOZOIC PERIOD.

(Ginkgoaceae) has been used for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
They have told me that of the family Ginkgoaceae, order ginkgoales, the ginkgo biloba is the only remaining species.
