EDARADD

A gene on chromosome 1q42.3 that encodes a death domain-containing protein that interacts with EDAR, a death domain receptor required for the development of hair, teeth and other ectodermally derived tissues. EDARADD and EDAR are co-expressed in epithelial cells during the formation of hair follicles and teeth.
