Ctenocephalides

(tē'nō-se-fal'i-dēz),
A genus of fleas. Ctenocephalides canis (dog flea) and Ctenocephalides felis (cat flea) are nearly universal ectoparasites of household pets; will attack humans when starving if pets are absent.
