Randomised clinical trials (RCTs) conducted to determine the effects of structured and supervised exercises on PAD patients with or without
claudication were included, while those which involved the use of surgical interventions, medication, or was conducted before 2005, were excluded.
Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients complaining of characteristic symptoms of LSS such as radicular pain, radiculopathy, neurogenic
claudication, and back pain; 2) Patients with radiological abnormal findings identical to symptomatic sites on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI); 3) Patients confirmed to be accurately injected with contrast media to the joint space after checking FJI treatment image among the patients satisfying the conditions of 1) and 2).

Claudication, which manifests as painful cramping in the leg muscles after activities like walking.
This case report illustrates a rare case of symptomatic
claudication, most likely due to reduced arterial vasodilation, most likely due to a reduced sensitivity for nitric oxide.
"We have known for years that patients with
claudication pain get the same benefits from a physician-supervised exercise program as from a procedure--and sometimes better.
The classic symptom of PAD is intermittent
claudication, pain in the calves, thighs, or buttocks during walking that usually eases with rest.
The rest of the pain of right lower limb disappeared and he could walk for 20-30 m without developing
claudication. We continued giving the patient steroids tailing off gradually and planned on monthly intravenous cyclophosphamide therapy.
To begin the study visit, patients were evaluated with a medical history and physical examination in which demographic information, height, mass, waist circumference, cardiovascular risk factors, comorbid conditions,
claudication history, ankle/brachial index (ABI), blood samples, and a list of current medications were obtained.
The 2004 Heart Outcomes Prevention Evaluation (HOPE) study indicates that ramipril maintains a mortality benefit for patients with intermittent
claudication. (5) A subgroup of this study included 1725 patients with baseline peripheral artery disease who were randomized to ramipril at 10 mg, which yielded a relative risk (RR) of 0.75 (95% CI, 0.61-0.92) for the primary outcome (cardiovascular mortality, myocardial infarction, stroke).
Under the RAPID Study, the company enrolled 20 patients with symptomatic disease with either presence of critical limb ischemia or lifestyle-limiting
claudication requiring percutaneous transluminal angioplasty.
