Chla·myd·o·phil·a psit·ta·ci

(klă-midō-filă si-tasī)
Organisms that resemble C. trachomatis but do not produce glycogen. Various strains of this species cause psittacosis in humans and ornithosis in birds. Also called Chlamydia psittaci (q.v.).
