Casoni's test

 [kah-so´nēz]
intradermal injection of hydatid fluid followed by production of wheal-flare reaction denotes hydatid infection.

In addition, specific serological tests such as Casoni's test, indirect hemagglutination, and ELISA can be used; however, negative serology does not exclude the diagnosis.
