CIA01
CIA01
A gene on chromosome 2q11.2 that encodes a member of the WD-repeat protein family that is an essential component of the cytosolic iron-sulphur (Fe/S) protein assembly machinery, and is required for the maturation of extramitochondrial Fe/S proteins. CIA01 is thought to specifically modulate the transactivation activity of WT1; it may play a role in chromosome segregation as part of the mitotic spindle-associated MMXD complex.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc.
