SGN-CD48A is an investigational ADC targeted to the protein
CD48, which is highly expressed on MM cells.
For gene expression in LTHSCs as well as in MPPs using the Slam marker staining (including CD150 and
CD48), the CelluLyser[TM] protocol (TaTaa, Gothenburg, Sweden) was used according to the manufacturer's protocol.
Gene expression array analysis revealed that expression of
CD48, a glypiated-linked protein in the signaling lymphocyte activation molecule family, was inversely correlated with Gfi1 expression.
In contrast, 23 CD genes (CD3E, CD69,
CD48, CD274, CD40L, CD59, CD40, CD93, CD247, CD28, CD5L, CD38, CD44, CD200R1A, CD14, CD5, CD83, CD2, CD200, CD4, CD79B, CD72, and CD180) were significantly increased by 2.1- to 8.7-fold while 2 CD genes (CD163 and CD36) were significantly decreased by 5.0- and 6.8-fold in chicken line, 7.2 with p < 0.01 and fold [greater than or equal to] 2 (Supplemtary Table S5.
Keywords: WM-68 cell line; anti
CD48 antibody; Hybridoma, 0.5% FBS, serum free.
More recently, a study has shown that the HERV-K18 retrovirus, through its
CD48 region, participates in the pathogenesis of T1DM.
In addition,
CD48 the proposed ligand for CD2, shows at least 47 different glycan structures (18).
In the comparison of B-CLL and myeloid leukemia, most of the statistically significant probes with higher hybridization signals in B-CLL samples represented B lymphocyte-associated genes, such as BTG1, CD79A, FAIM3, CCR7,
CD48, and HLA-DRA (28).
In the July 6 PROCEEDINGS OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES, the researchers identify
CD48, which adorns the surface of mast cells, as the protein that performs that binding.
