CCNT1
CCNT1
A gene on chromosome 12q13.11 that encodes a member of the highly conserved cyclin family, which regulates CDK kinases. Cyclin T1 binds tightly to CDK9, forming a major subunit of the transcription elongation factor p-TEFb, which interacts with, and acts as a cofactor of, HIV-1’s Tat protein, and is required for full activation of viral transcription.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc.
