Boxgrove Man

a 500 000 years old hominid from Boxgrove, West Sussex, known from an incomplete shinbone. This was possibly a common ancestor of both the NEANDERTHALS and the taller, slimmer early modern humans. Boxgrove Man is Britain's oldest known hominid.
