Blastomyces

 [blas″to-mi´sēz]
a genus of pathogenic fungi growing as mycelial forms at room temperature and as yeastlike forms at body temperature; applied to the yeasts pathogenic for humans and other animals. B. dermati´tidis is the species that causes North American blastomycosis.
