Bi·els·chow·sky test
(by'el-shov'skē), an assessment of vertical strabismus in which the angle of ocular deviation is determined for various head positions and angles of gaze to permit identification of the paralytic muscle in vertical diplopia. This procedure is most useful in diagnosing palsies of the superior oblique muscle.

Biels·chow·sky test
(byels-chov'skē test) A measurement of vertical strabismus in which the angle of ocular deviation is measured with changes in turning the head and angle of gaze to allow the clinician to isolate the paralytic muscle in vertical diplopia. This procedure is most useful in diagnosing palsies of the superior oblique muscle.
