Bensley-specific granules

An obsolete term for either
(1) B (beta) membrane-bound secretory granules of insulin found in B cells of the islets of Langerhans;
(2) Any granule in the cytoplasm of any of the pancreatic islet cells.
 
These granules are no longer eponymically dignified and are of only historic interest.
