Belvedere cypress

A saponin-rich plant native to Asia, the seeds of which are anti-inflammatory, astringent, diuretic, and tonic. It is used in Chinese medicine for haemorrhoids, impotence, inflammation, urinary incontinence and urinary tract infections. The shoots and stems are used in Western herbal medicine for gastrointestinal complaints.
