Beck II operation

A long-abandoned and primitive heart procedure for managing heart failure, which was first performed by Dr Claude Schaeffer Beck (1894–1971). In the first stage, a venous graft was placed between the aorta and the coronary sinus; two to three weeks later, the coronary sinus was narrowed to 2–3 mm. The third step consisted of complete ligation of the coronary sinus as a response to heart failure.
