BRWD1
A gene on chromosome 21q22.2 that encodes a member of the WD-repeat protein family, which are involved in various cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis and gene regulation. BRWD1 is located within the Down syndrome region-2 on chromosome 21; it may be a transcriptional activator, and may be involved in chromatin remodelling.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc.
