BR96-doxorubicin immunoconjugate

An antibody-drug conjugate composed of the chimeric monoclonal antibody BR96, chemically linked to the cytotoxic drug doxorubicin. The antibody moiety of BMS-182248-1 binds to Lewis Y, a cell surface antigen expressed on many solid tumour cells where it intercalates with DNA, inhibiting DNA replication and repair, RNA synthesis and protein synthesis. BR96-doxorubicin immunoconjugate is now known as SGN-15.
