Our previous paper was on the kinetics of the reduction of dithiazone by sulphite ions [15] in micellar media and now we have attempted to explore the use of micellar media for the kinetics of the reduction of
azo compounds by stannous chloride in aqueous medium.
It provides guidance on selecting the appropriate aminating agent--whether haloamines, hydroxylamines, diazonium salts,
azo compounds, or azides--for different types of carbon nucleophile.
Once permeated the
azo compounds could be utilized as a source of carbon and nitrogen by the algae.
A common position on a draft Directive designed to restrict the marketing of certain dangerous substances and preparations, in this case,
azo compounds (amendment of Directive 76/769/EEC; co-decision procedure), was formally adopted by the EU Council of Ministers.
Since zinc oxide is not considered to be an activator for sulfonhydrazides, it is not expected that DBZ would produce the same dramatic effects as can be seen when in combination with
azo compounds.
Azo compounds are continuously gaining attention in scientific research because of variety of derivatives obtained by the slight modifications of dye intermediate structures [1, 2, 3].
