A thin-profile (12-mm) implantable cardioverter-defibrillator with a maximum stored energy of 42 joules. The device was capable of differentiating between atrial and ventricular tachyarrhythmias, providing protection against false firings, and indicated for treatment of ventricular tachyarrhythmia.
