Agonal Biopsy
Agonal Biopsy
A biopsy obtained just before death, which may be needed when the cause of a dying patient’s disease is not known by the managing physicians (as in the case of Ebola virus, or other potentially fatal viral infections) and the patient’s religious beliefs (or those of the next of kin) prohibit any form of postmortem examination.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc.
