Adsorption Ratio. The
adsorption ratio, as shown in (4), is determined by three parameters n, T, and [E.sub.ads].
With the increase of initial MB concentration, the
adsorption ratio decreased, and the MB adsorption amount of MC/CABs increased until the initial concentration reached 1,000 mg [L.sup.-1].
TABLE 4: Sodium (SAR) and potassium
adsorption ratio (PAR), threshold concentration (TEC) and cation concentrations in applied water leading to a 15% reduction in the saturated hydraulic conductivity of surface and subsurface layers in a calcareous soil from the Riverina region of Australia [Table omitted]
Water quality for irrigation: Good quality of water for irrigation is characterized by acceptable range of electrical conductivity (EC), sodium
adsorption ratio (SAR), residual sodium carbonate (RSC), magnesium
adsorption ratio (MAR) and chlorides (Cl).
DO-Dissolved Oxygen; TA-Total Alkalinity; EC-Electrical Conductivity; TDS-Total Dissolved Solids; TH-Total Hardness; Cl--chloride ion; HCO [?] - bicarbonate ion; RSBC-Residual Sodium Bicarbonate; SAR-Sodium
Adsorption Ratio; PS-Percent Sodium; KR-Kelly's Ratio; MAR-Magnesium
Adsorption Ratio; PI-Permeability Index
However, the ratio law of Schofield (1947) paved the way to develop the concept of 'sodium
adsorption ratio' in soil solutions from which the adsorption of Na by soils could be predicted using correlations between SAR and ESP.
The Water Quality Calculator can determine the salinity, sodium
adsorption ratio, and pH of the irrigation water supplied when different sources of water are combined, says Dirk Richards of CSIRO.
* Estimate sodium
adsorption ratio (SAR) and exchangeable sodium ratio (ESR) in salt-affected soils.
To ensure that the flow rates achieved in the previous rainwater experiment (Donn and Menzies 2005) were maintained, N[O.sub.3] and Cl were applied in a solution with a low sodium
adsorption ratio (SAR).
T hese samples were analyzed for Electrical Conductivity (EC), Sodium, Calcium and Magnesium ions for determination of Sodium
adsorption ratio (SAR).
In Figure 4 is shown the relationship between sodium and sodium
adsorption ratio.
