acholia
Absence of bile secretion into the small intestine. In acholia, the stools are clay-coloured. Because bile is also needed to emulsify dietary fat before it can be absorbed, the stools are also fatty and may be difficult to flush away.Collins Dictionary of Medicine © Robert M. Youngson 2004, 2005
