A224L

A structural protein belonging to the inhibitor of apoptosis protein (IAP) family, which is encoded by the African swine fever virus. Overexpression of A224L in Vero cells substantially inhibits the activity of caspase-3 and apoptotic cell death induced by TNF-alpha and cycloheximide or staurosporine.
