Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) is a key glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the glyceraldehydes-3-phosphate to 1,3-diphosphoglycerate and generates [NADP.sup.+] that can enter the respiratory chain and generates an ATP in the process of glycolysis.
However, it interacts with its substrate, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate, and with 1,3-diphosphoglycerate, both of which are absolutely fixed.
