ondansetron /on·dan·se·tron/ (on-dan´sĕ-tron) an antiemetic used as the hydrochloride salt, in conjunction with cancer chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or after surgery.
antiemetic [an″te-e-met´ik] 1. useful in the treatment of vomiting. 2. an agent that relieves vomiting.
ondansetron a serotonergic antagonist, used as an antiemetic in chemotherapy.
