Daniel Mikol (Ann Arbor, MI) tested Novantrone and Zinecard (dexrazoxane, a cardioprotective agent) in 26 people, and reported that the combination is safe.
Trapani was Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs at Pharmacia Adria, where he directed successful filings and approval for Genotropin, the Company's largest selling product, Fragmin and Zinecard, the first oncology drug to gain accelerated approval by the FDA.
ZINECARD is a new agent indicated for reducing the incidence and severity of cardiomyopathy associated with doxorubicin (ADRIAMYCIN(R)) administration in women with metastatic breast cancer who have received a cumulative doxorubicin dose of 300 mg/m2 and who, in their physician's opinion, would benefit from continuing therapy with doxorubicin.
