pectoriloquy /pec·to·ril·o·quy/ (pek-tah-ril´ah-kwe) voice sounds of increased resonance heard through the chest wall.
pec·to·ril·o·quy (pkt-rl-kw)
n.
Transmission of the voice sound through the pulmonary structures so that it is unusually audible on auscultation of the chest, indicating either consolidation of the lung parenchyma or the presence of a large cavity.

pectoriloquy
[pek′təril′əkwē]
a phenomenon in which voice sounds, including whispers, are transmitted clearly through the pulmonary structures and are clearly audible through a stethoscope. It is often a sign of lung consolidation.

voice sounds of increased resonance heard through the chest wall, such as egophony and bronchophony.
