The Sheffield United boss claims Wembley should follow the lead of the Italians who cleared Cannavaro when he failed a drugs test for taking medication for a wasp sting.
Cannavaro failed a dope test on August 29 after he had been given a medication containing the banned substance cortisone by Juve doctors following a wasp sting that resulted in his arm swelling up.
It has been reported that the veteran defender was given a cortisone-based anti-allergic medication to treat a wasp sting.
